Making a Difference Through the Study of Sport Marketing and Management
Students and faculty at UD are active in the classroom and the sports industry. Their work contributes to the advancement of sport industry leadership and management skills and techniques. They have identified issues unique to NCAA Division III environments, developed industry standard proposals designed to showcase the creative uses of traditional and non-traditional assets in event management, and contributed to the larger sport management body of knowledge to community-level management and growth.

Students have opportunities to apply coursework in hands-on practical experience either through internships or volunteer service with the Dubuque Fighting Saints Hockey Club, the University of Dubuque Department of Athletics, the Chlapaty Recreation and Wellness Center, and the City of Dubuque Leisure Services Department, among others.

Following graduation from the Sport Marketing and Management program, students go to work for professional, amateur, collegiate, and municipal sport and entertainment organizations in a variety of positions:
